Guyana Metropolitan Relief Organization Inc. in Largo, MD started when there were some folks in the metropolitan area experiencing an economic crisis. A group of doctors decided to assist the Davis Memorial Hospital in providing health services to those individuals. We treat various ailments, primarily diabetes. Dr. Roycelynn Mentor-Marcel, PhD, MPH
Dr. Mentor-Marcel was born in Georgetown, Guyana and migrated to the United
States with her family in the late 70’s. She is excited to serve as the GuyMetro
Assistant Secretary for the 2020-2022 term. Dr. Mentor-Marcel was formally
trained in Pharmacology/Toxicology (University of Alabama at Birmingham),
Cancer Prevention (National Institutes of Health), and Public
Max Ferguson is a disciple of Jesus, a husband, father and a SDA of long standing. He currently serves Guy-Metro as Treasurer. He is also a pastor in the AEC.
